my very first loaves of homemade bread ... no machines, no mixers, just my small fingers working through the dough. knuckles knocking the cutting board, flour floating through the kitchen, the oven tinkering out heat that mingles with an already one hundred degree house. sweat dripping down my brow, wiped away with the edges of an apron.
when motivation or the desire to put my hands to work hits, I run. baking fresh bread is something I've wanted to do since I moved into my very first apartment five years ago. standing in the kitchen this week, inspiration overcame me and I made bread for the very first time. everyday oatmeal bread from my tried and true, Simply in Season.
